Affinity in Porto is seeking a backend-focused engineer to design, develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot services. You will build cloud-ready applications across AWS/Azure/GCP and collaborate on frontend tasks using Angular or React.

The role requires working with relational databases, optimizing queries, and setting up CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab CI. Fluent English is essential, with a hybrid work model in Portugal.

What we’re looking for:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build scalable and cloud-ready applications with hands-on experience in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Collaborate on frontend development tasks — experience with Angular or React is a strong plus
• Work with relational databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and optimized queries
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and modern development standards
• Proficiency in English communication (written and verbal)
