Farfetch is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Porto Technology team. You will design, implement, and maintain end-to-end solutions, review initiatives before deployment, and address post-launch issues.

You will work in a friendly, growing team using the latest tech stack, with opportunities to learn and contribute to the building process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

Qualificações

• Proficiency in object-oriented languages, especially C#.
• Experience with unit tests and integration tests.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with REST APIs and web services.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative teams.
• Strong focus on code quality and best practices.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for improving and maintaining our project portfolio. As a Software Engineer, your duties will include developing end-to-end solutions, reviewing initiatives prior to their deployment and subsequent maintenance phase addressing any arising issues, and developing enhancements based on our business teams requirements. You will ensure that all developments undergo rigorous testing and review. Effective communication is crucial in this role, as you will frequently interact with issue reporters to thoroughly understand problems and convey clear solutions. You will be working in a very friendly environment and be part of a well-motivated, talented and growing team. What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and optimize solutions to improve operational efficiency

Who You Are

• An expert in object oriented languages (C#)
• Knowledgeable of unit tests and/or integration tests
• Passionate about code quality
• Stay on top of all of all best practices of modern software development
• Knowledgeable of SQL and experience using relational databases
• Knowledgeable of REST APIs
• A professional with experience working with agile methodologies is also a plus
• Autonomous and able to make important technical decisions that will have a positive impact on our platform
• Interested in large-scale systems
• Passionate about solving complex problems
