Farfetch Limited, based in Porto, is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain end-to-end solutions within our Technology team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust features and ensure high quality through testing and reviews.

You will work in a friendly, growing team, addressing issues, expanding the modular architecture, and adopting the latest technologies to support our luxury marketplace.

Qualificações

• Proven experience with C# and object-oriented design.
• Experience with unit tests and/or integration tests.
• Strong SQL knowledge and relational databases.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Ability to make autonomous technical decisions.
• Interest in large-scale systems.
• Passionate about solving complex problems.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for improving and maintaining our project portfolio. As a Software Engineer, your duties will include developing end-to-end solutions, reviewing initiatives prior to their deployment and subsequent maintenance phase addressing any arising issues, and developing enhancements based on our business teams requirements. You will ensure that all developments undergo rigorous testing and review. Effective communication is crucial in this role, as you will frequently interact with issue reporters to thoroughly understand problems and convey clear solutions. You will be working in a very friendly environment and be part of a well-motivated, talented and growing team. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, implement, and optimize solutions to improve operational efficiency
• Ensure outstanding engineering practices when building these solutions

WHO YOU ARE

• An expert in object oriented languages (C#)
• Knowledgeable of unit tests and/or integration tests
• Passionate about code quality
• Stay on top of all of all best practices of modern software development
• Knowledgeable of SQL and experience using relational databases
• Knowledgeable of REST APIs
• A professional with experience working with agile methodologies is also a plus
• Autonomous and able to make important technical decisions that will have a positive impact on our platform
• Interested in large-scale systems
• Passionate about solving complex problems.
