Octo Health, based in Lisbon, is seeking a skilled software engineer focused on frontend or mobile. You’ll work on the web experience using React, TypeScript and Next.js, or on iOS/Android with React Native.

We operate AI-first, using Claude Code and other tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining craft and performance. You’ll collaborate daily with product, design and backend, ship high-quality surfaces, shape architecture for scale, and adapt in a fast, startup environment.

Qualificações

• 3+ years in software development with frontend or mobile focus.
• Experience shipping high-quality products used by people.
• AI coding tools are already part of your daily workflow.
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
• Solid understanding of UI/UX and what makes an interface feel effortless.

The role

We're looking for a really good engineer. We care less about the label than the craft - but this role lives on the product's surfaces, so you'll lean frontend or mobile.

Frontend means React, TypeScript and Next.js: the web experience where someone decides to trust us with their health data.

Mobile means React Native on iOS and Android: the app where someone reads ten years of their own health. Tell us which one is yours - or show us you can do both.

We work AI‑first: Claude Code, Cursor, and whatever ships next month. Used as leverage, not as a crutch. You guide, validate, refine, and you ship faster than you thought you could. This is not about writing every line by hand. It’s about combining technical excellence with AI‑augmented development to move with speed and precision.
