Job Description

The Frontend Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining our React/Next.js Frontend Application, crafting thoughtful and maintainable code, shaping and improving development practices, leading end-to-end projects in collaboration with Backend, Product, and Design teams, ensuring prompt communication with stakeholders, and taking on a mentorship role for junior/mid team members.

Responsibilities

• Development of our Frontend Application (React/Next.js)
• Develop thoughtful and maintainable code
• Proactively shape and improve our development practices to continually enhance our developer experience
• Take charge of projects end-to-end from conception to production deployment. You will interface with members of the Backend, Product and Design.
• Promptly communicate with all stakeholders
• Become a mentor to junior/mid members of the team

Qualifications

• Experience with Micro Front End architecture within the e-commerce space
• Experience with Typescript (min 2 yrs)
• Experience with Frontend frameworks (React/Next.js) (min 5 yrs)
• Experience with code versioning (Git) and CI/CD technologies. We perform extensive code reviews.
• Experience with developing, deploying, and maintaining production-grade software systems.
• Entrepreneurial thinking, high degree of personal responsibility and solution-oriented approach to work
• Having an eye for code quality, problem solving, testing
• Experience with Unit Testing
• Ability to quickly prototype ideas / solutions and use creative approaches for solving complex problems
• Proficiency in English (internal communication is in English)
• Experience in internationalisation websites (multi language)
• Experience with RestFul API, client and server side
• Understanding of S.O.L.I.D principle and dependency injections
• Experience with state management on a client and server side level
• Experience with SEO best practices for Next.js
• Experience with performance optimisation for front-end applications (React/Next.js)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and tools structures such as Jira/Confluence

Plus

• Some experience with GitLab platform
• Some experience in writing CD/CI pipeline process in GitLab
• Some experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker)
• Understanding of Node.js
• Experience with GraphQL
