Decskill is seeking a Software Developer/Engineer expert in Python and .NET to join the Innovation team. The role covers developing both front-end and back-end components, with a focus on biometric identification, automation, and cloud-based services in airport environments.

You will work within a multi-disciplinary team delivering integrated software and hardware solutions, leveraging edge, cloud, and mobile platforms, and collaborating with product design, QA, and operations teams.

• Taking responsibility for a component or small project.
• Collaborating with Operations and customer service teams during issues and cutovers.

Software Developer Engineer expert in Python & .NET!

Mission:

This mission sits within the Innovation team, which develops leading‑edge software, algorithms, and hardware across the full range of airport touchpoints, from kerb to gate, as well as on passenger mobile devices prior to travel.

The technology stack combines edge, cloud, and mobile platforms, supported by dedicated hardware, machine learning, and computer vision, operating in highly dynamic airport environments.

The mission is delivered within a multi‑disciplinary team responsible for building integrated software, algorithmic, and hardware solutions supporting biometric identification, automation, computer vision, self‑service, and cloud‑based services operating at scale.

Responsabilities:

• Software development for self-service advanced technology development, including front-end and back-end components. Includes problem investigations, support or testing within agreed standards and timescales;


• Writing operational and software documentation necessary for the application from a technical standpoint;


• Conducting analysis and contributes to joint product design efforts;


• Supporting the other teams involved in the SDLC: Business Analyst, QAs, etc;


• Demonstrating initiative in contributing to problem solving, design solutions and team goals;


• Confidence in technical skills and demonstrate substantial independence in the technical area;


• Conducting unit and package tests of the software to ensure a level of quality in line with the client guidelines;


• Taking responsibility for a component of a project or a small project;


• Supporting, work together with Operations team and customer service teams in case of issues, cutovers etc.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and Python.


• Experience developing desktop applications (Windows/Linux) with good UI/UX practices


• Hands‑on exposure to cloud technologies, microservices, containers (Docker/Kubernetes), and APIs.


• Solid software engineering foundations (clean code, design patterns, testing, CI/CD, Git).


• Experience Design patterns, architecture, interface design and API dev.


• Good understanding of security, performance, and scalability best practices.


• Good understanding of SDLC.


• Good understanding Network security – Oauth / TLS etc.


• Nice‑to‑have exposition to AI/ML, computer vision, sensor/device programming, mobile or digital identity solutions or cross platform solutions.
