Tenth Revolution Group in Lisbon is seeking an experienced Senior Software Architect to lead the design of scalable backend services and cloud-native solutions for a growing B2B platform. You will work with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to define architectures (DDD, hexagonal, microservices), promote best practices, and mentor teammates while shaping engineering culture.

Qualificações

• Experience in software architecture and senior backend roles.
• Extensive hands-on Java and Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Experience with hexagonal architecture and microservices.
• Experience designing REST APIs and event-driven systems.
• Familiar with architecture documentation methods (arc42, C4).
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native development.
• Hands-on with IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of modern software engineering practices (Clean Code, TDD).
• Experience with Git, Maven, Gradle, NoSQL databases.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Architect to join an international product development team building scalable backend solutions for a rapidly growing B2B platform.

This is a hands-on architecture role where you'll work closely with software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to design and evolve cloud-native applications. You'll help shape technical direction, drive engineering best practices, and ensure solutions remain scalable, secure, and maintainable as the platform continues to grow.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and operate backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Collaborate with product teams and stakeholders to translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions
• Define and evolve service architectures with a focus on scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability
• Promote best practices around Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, and software craftsmanship
• Create clear architecture documentation and communicate technical decisions across teams
• Contribute throughout the full software lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and operations
• Help build and improve cloud-native solutions within Azure environments
• Support Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices
• Mentor developers and provide technical guidance where needed
• Explore and promote the responsible use of AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and software quality

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in Software Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Senior Backend Engineering roles
• Extensive hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of:
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
• Hexagonal Architecture
• Microservices and distributed systems
• Experience designing REST APIs, event-driven systems, and enterprise integrations
• Strong knowledge of architecture documentation and modelling approaches such as arc42, C4, or similar frameworks
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native application development
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of modern software engineering practices, including Clean Code and Test-Driven Development
• Experience working with Git, Maven, Gradle, NoSQL databases, and modern development tools
• Professional English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools
• Knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Experience working in product-led environments
