Job summary

Vodafone Portugal is seeking a visionary and execution‑oriented SME AI to drive the company’s AI strategy and adoption journey. You’ll identify, develop and scale AI initiatives across the organization to boost growth, efficiency and customer experience.

You will partner with leaders to steer transformation, manage partnerships, and ensure governance. English and Portuguese fluency is expected; telecom experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field.
• Proven leadership in AI, data, technology or digital transformation.
• Strong knowledge of generative AI, ML, data platforms and cloud tech.

Responsibilities

• Execute Vodafone Portugal’s AI strategy and roadmap.
• Prioritize high‑value use cases across business areas.
• Ensure compliance, security and responsible AI adoption.

This role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and scaling AI initiatives that drive business growth, operational efficiency, customer experience, and innovation across the organization.

What You’ll Do

• Execute Vodafone Portugal’s AI strategy and roadmap;
• Prioritizing high-value use cases across all business areas;
• Ensuring compliance, security, and responsible AI adoption;
• Partner with business and technology leaders to accelerate AI-driven transformation;
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and manage strategic partnerships

Who You Are

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree or technical institute certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field;
• Proven leadership experience in AI, Data, Technology, or Digital Transformation;
• Strong knowledge of Generative AI, Machine Learning, Data Platforms, and Cloud technologies;
• Experience delivering large-scale transformation programs and measurable business outcomes;
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;
• Telecom industry experience is a plus;
• AI embedded into core business processes and decision-making;
• Tangible improvements in customer experience, productivity, and business performance;
• A scalable AI operating model with strong governance and adoption across Vodafone Portugal;
• English and Portuguese (Fluency).
