Job summary

Fyld is hiring an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Portuguese consulting team. You will enhance reliability, scalability and resilience across customer projects, building observable, automated platforms and robust incident response.

You should bring hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Kubernetes, IaC, and modern CI/CD practices, plus strong standards for SLIs/SLOs and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as an SRE/DevOps/Platform Engineer or similar role.
Strong understanding of site reliability engineering principles (availability, reliability, scalability).
Experience defining SLIs, SLOs, SLAs and error budgets.
Hands-on observability with metrics, logs, traces and alerting.
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK or similar stacks.
Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
Production experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible or similar.
Automation and scripting with Python, Go, Bash or PowerShell.
Incident management, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Post-incident reviews and preventive measures.
Performance monitoring, capacity planning and system optimisation.
Networking basics: TCP/IP, DNS, load balancers, HTTP.
CI/CD and modern software delivery practices.
Automation focus and reducing manual work.
Collaboration with software engineering, infra, security and product teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluency in English.
