Job summary

HAVI TechHUB in Lisbon is seeking a Senior VMO Specialist to lead the Technology Vendor Management Office. You will own vendor governance across Tier 1 partners, contract frameworks, and multi-entity engagements, coordinating with Legal, Security and Sourcing teams.

You will shape the VMO by designing standards, advising technology leaders, and raising team capability while supporting the Senior Manager in strategic vendor initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Technology, Law, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in vendor management, technology sourcing, or contract management in a multinational environment.
• Proven track record of designing vendor governance models and contract frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the VMO to manage vendor lifecycle from intake to governance and renewal.
• Advise Technology leaders on vendor strategy and contracts with multiple legal entities.
• Design frameworks, standards, and scorecards to raise team capability.
• Influence senior stakeholders without formal authority in a matrix organization.

We are hiring a Senior VMO Specialist

About The Role

We are looking for a Senior VMO Specialist to join our TechHUB in Lisbon!

You will be the most senior individual contributor in HAVI Technology Vendor Management Office, the mandatory entry point for all technology vendor engagements. The VMO coordinates the full vendor lifecycle, from intake and contracting to governance, performance and renewal, working with Technology functional areas, GBS Sourcing, Legal, Information Security and Morgan Street Holdings (MSH).

The role covers the same scope as the other VMO roles, applied to the most strategic and complex part of the portfolio: Tier 1 partners, framework agreements, multi-entity engagements and contracts requiring MSH involvement. Beyond delivering, the Senior VMO Specialist supports the Senior Manager, Technology VMO on shaping how the VMO works - designing frameworks and standards, advising Technology leaders on vendor strategy, scorecardand raising the capability of the team.

The Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Technology, Law, or a related field; Master’s or MBA is a plus.
• 10+ years of experience in vendor management, technology sourcing, or contract management in a multinational environment, including at least 5 years leading Tier 1 IT services relationships or large contracting programmes (managed services, outsourcing, multi-vendor).
• Proven track record of designing - not only operating - vendor governance models, contract frameworks, or VMO processes.
• Expert understanding of contract structure: liability, SLAs, service credits and at-risk mechanisms, payment terms, data protection, IP, termination, and exit and transition.
• Deep knowledge of technology services commercial models (managed services, managed capacity, staff augmentation) and how to structure them to protect HAV.
• Track record of influencing VP and SVP-level stakeholders and vendor executives without formal authority, in a matrixed organization with multiple legal entities and a parent-group structure.
• Strong financial acumen: business cases, total cost of ownership, and commercial model evaluation.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 suite.
• Executive-level written and spoken English.
