Findmore Consulting S.A. is hiring a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator to manage SQL Server environments across on‑premises VMware and Azure. The role focuses on installation, patching, maintenance, monitoring, and incident resolution.

The ideal candidate has hands-on SQL Server and Azure SQL experience, strong T‑SQL skills, and a track record in HA/DR design. You’ll implement automation and contribute to security and cost optimisations.

Qualificações

Strong professional experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator.
Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server administration, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning.
Experience managing SQL Server environments hosted on VMware.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure database environments, including Azure SQL and/or SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines.
Strong experience with HA/DR technologies, including Always On Availability Groups and Failover Cluster Instances.
Strong T‑SQL knowledge, including development and optimisation of stored procedures and queries.
Experience with database performance analysis, indexing, troubleshooting, and optimisation.
Experience with Azure DevOps Boards or similar task management tools.
Good knowledge of database security, access control, auditing, encryption, and least-privilege principles.
Experience handling sensitive and PII data in line with data protection requirements.

Responsabilidades

Manage, maintain, configure, and support Microsoft SQL Server environments across on-prem VMware and Microsoft Azure.
Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain SQL Server instances and databases.
Monitor database health, availability, performance, capacity, and production workloads.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database incidents and performance issues.
Develop, review, troubleshoot, and optimise T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexes.
Manage backups, restore, security, access controls, and HA/DR processes.
Support and maintain HA/DR technologies including Always On and Failover Clusters.
Act as escalation point for database incidents and collaborate with vendors.
Plan, document, present, and implement database changes through Change Management and CAB processes.
Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell, dbatools, T-SQL, SQL Agent/Elastic Jobs, Python, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
Build runbooks and automated remediation for recurring alerts.
Support CI/CD and release validation with Redgate, SSDT, and Azure DevOps.
