Savills Portugal, a leading player in the national market, is strengthening its team with the integration of a Senior Specialty Leasing & Marketing Coordinator in Portugal.
This is a key role combining commercial drive, strategic marketing and retail expertise, with responsibility for maximising Specialty Leasing and Mall Income opportunities while shaping and coordinating the marketing strategy across a portfolio of shopping centres and retail parks.
Working closely with asset teams, brands, operators and external partners, you will play an active role in driving revenue, footfall, customer engagement and the overall positioning of our retail assets.
Key tasks/activities:
Specialty Leasing & Mall Income
- Proactively identify and develop Specialty Leasing opportunities, maximising income from common areas and temporary commercial spaces.
- Lead the acquisition, negotiation and implementation of pop-ups, brand activations, sponsorships, events and experiential marketing initiatives.
- Identify new brands, operators and innovative retail concepts, developing long-term commercial opportunities across the portfolio.
- Manage Specialty Leasing activity across the portfolio, ensuring effective planning, execution and performance monitoring.
- Develop and monitor the Specialty Leasing and brand events business plan, including forecasts, targets and performance analysis.
- Support and coordinate local asset teams in maximising the commercial potential of temporary retail spaces.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations and identify opportunities to create synergies across different assets.
- Work closely with Legal and other internal teams to ensure appropriate contractual processes and compliance.
- Monitor key performance indicators, including revenue, occupancy, conversion and renewal rates, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the digitalisation and optimisation of Specialty Leasing processes.
Marketing
- Lead and coordinate the marketing strategy across the portfolio, working closely with the marketing teams responsible for each asset.
- Develop cross-portfolio marketing initiatives aligned with commercial, positioning and footfall objectives.
- Ensure strategic consistency with wider Iberian marketing initiatives, leveraging synergies and strengthening brand alignment.
- Monitor and optimise online and offline marketing KPIs, including footfall, engagement, campaign ROI, awareness and conversion.
- Coordinate portfolio and asset communications across relevant media channels.
- Lead retail marketing and innovation initiatives, including digital platforms and new customer engagement solutions.
- Oversee market research, customer satisfaction studies and customer journey insights, translating findings into actionable initiatives.
- Support commercial proposals, presentations and corporate events, contributing to the positioning of the portfolio with clients and investors.
Requirements, Skills and Experience:
We are looking for someone with a strong commercial mindset and a solid understanding of the retail environment, able to combine strategic thinking with a hands‑on approach to execution.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Management or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably within the retail real estate sector, particularly shopping centres or retail parks.
- Proven experience in Specialty Leasing, Mall Income or alternative revenue generation.
- Strong experience negotiating with brands, operators and commercial partners.
- Experience developing and implementing marketing plans and campaigns.
- Good understanding of retail trends, consumer behaviour and shopping centre dynamics.
- Strong analytical capabilities and confidence working with KPIs and performance data.
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to coordinate and influence different stakeholders and teams without direct hierarchical responsibility.
- A proactive, results-oriented and highly organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptability and confidence working in dynamic, collaborative environments.
- Fluency in English is essential.
