Job summary

DACHSER Corporate IT Hub in Porto invites an experienced Software Engineer to lead frontend projects and shape the next generation of our Charter and Transport Planning Tool. You will drive Angular frontend architectures in a collaborative, international team and ensure robust delivery with modern testing and CI/CD practices.

We expect a degree in IT or related field with 7+ years of development, strong English, and a track record of enterprise frontend design.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, computer science, or related field with 7+ years development experience.
• Proven software engineer with web frontend design for enterprise software.
• Strong frontend architecture knowledge and cloud-ready solutions.
• Proficiency in Angular and Git; UI/UX knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Charter and Transport Planning Tool.

Tasks

• Contribute to the next generation of our Charter and Transport Planning Tool
• Act as the technical frontend lead within the project team
• Technical design, evaluate, and evolve up to date, maintainable, and robust Angular Frontend Applications
• Ensure high code quality through code reviews, coding standards, and automated testing
• Drive technical excellence by promoting continuous improvement, modern tooling, CI/CD, and automation
• Collaboration with our UI/UX experts
• Act as a role model for accountability, quality awareness, and a strong engineering culture
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks, including performance, security, and scalability concerns

Qualifications

• Degree in IT, computer science, or a related field and 7 years of experience as a developer
• Proven experience as a Software Engineer, with a background in designing Web Frontends for Enterprise Software Solutions
• Deep knowledge of frontend architecure patterns and cloud-ready solutions
• Proficiency in Angular and Git; Ideally good knowledge of UI/UX
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-reasoned decisions
• Ability to take over responsibility in development teams, promoting best practices and technical excellence
• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured way of working
• Good knowledge of English and the ability to collaborate successfully in an agile environment
