Job summary

AgileEngine seeks a Business Analyst to assess current reporting and define a future-state reporting strategy and governance across a broad stakeholder community.

You will lead structured interviews, analyze existing reports, and shape a consolidated reporting portfolio aligned to business needs and risk controls. This role offers flexible remote/office options and opportunities for growth within a people-first culture.

Qualifications

• Strong business analysis and requirements-management experience.
• Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops.
• Experience assessing and rationalizing an existing reporting portfolio.
• Translate complex business needs into structured requirements.
• Develop process maps, documentation, inventories, and roadmaps.
• Identify duplication, gaps, and simplification opportunities.
• Collaborate across business, technology, data, and risk stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive inventory of reports, dashboards, metrics, and artifacts.
• Research historical reporting to understand original business needs.
• Assess reporting for relevance, duplication, usability, and value.
• Identify gaps and reports no longer serving purpose.
• Recommend retention, enhancement, consolidation, replacement, or decommissioning.
• Identify stakeholder groups and personas consuming reporting.
• Conduct structured interviews and working sessions to gather needs.
• Translate needs into well-defined requirements.
• Reconcile overlapping requirements and consolidate demand.
• Maintain traceability between needs, reports, metrics, and outcomes.
• Develop a target-state reporting portfolio.
• Define reports to address unmet needs and where to enhance or consolidate.
• Prioritize requirements by value, risk, and dependencies.
• Develop a rollout roadmap for transitioning from current to future state.
• Establish ownership for reports, data sources, and requirements.
• Define standards for documentation and data lineage.
• Create a sustainable change-management process for reports.
• Set periodic reviews to reassess usage and opportunities.
• Maintain a reporting catalog with ownership, purpose, audience, and status.
• Engage stakeholders to ensure reporting supports decision-making.
• Encourage migration to standardized, sustainable reporting solutions.
• Use feedback and usage data to inform portfolio reviews.
