Job summary

AgileEngine LLC is seeking a Business Analyst to assess existing reporting and define a future-state reporting strategy and governance model across a broad stakeholder community.

You will develop an inventory of reports, interview stakeholders, and translate needs into formal requirements, while shaping a consolidated reporting portfolio and clear ownership model. This role offers flexible remote/office options and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of business analysis and requirements-management experience.
• Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and facilitate workshops.
• Experience assessing and rationalizing reporting/analytics portfolios.
• Strong ability to translate complex needs into structured requirements.
• Experience developing process maps, documentation, inventories, and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive inventory of existing reports, dashboards, metrics, and related artifacts.
• Research historical reporting to understand original business need, audience, and use cases.
• Assess current reporting for relevance, duplication, usability, and value.
• Identify reporting gaps and reports no longer serving a purpose.
• Develop recommendations to retain, enhance, consolidate, replace, or decommission reports.
• Define stakeholder groups and personas consuming or producing reporting.
• Conduct structured interviews and workshops to understand objectives and outcomes.
• Translate needs into well-defined requirements and ensure traceability.
• Develop a target-state reporting portfolio based on requirements and findings.
• Define criteria for retention, enhancement, consolidation, or retirement of reports.
• Establish ownership and accountability for reports, data sources, and requirements.
• Create a roadmap for transitioning from current to future state.
