Job summary

iTRTech Group is seeking a Senior GSM-R Optimization Engineer for a fully remote role. You will enhance railway radio coverage, quality, and reliability, supporting rail networks with KPI-driven optimization and data-driven decisions.

The position requires English at least B2+ and 5+ years in GSM-R optimization. You will collaborate with planning, implementation, and operations teams to deliver improvements across projects, contributing to secure and efficient railway communications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of GSM/GSM-R optimization experience.
• Strong knowledge of GSM-R architecture and railway standards.
• Experience in coverage, capacity, handover optimization and interference analysis.
• Proficient in KPI monitoring and radio troubleshooting.
• Experience with railway mission-critical communications.
• Previous involvement in railway infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform GSM-R optimization activities covering coverage, quality, capacity, and interference analysis.
• Monitor network KPIs, analyze drive test results, and post-process measurement data to identify improvements.
• Investigate and resolve radio performance issues affecting railway operations.
• Optimize radio parameters, conduct neighbor audits, review frequency plans, and improve handover performance.
• Support network acceptance, modernization, and expansion projects with planning, implementation, and operations teams.
• Prepare performance reports and optimization recommendations for customer discussions and reviews.
