Job summary

iTRTech Group is seeking a Senior C-SON Optimization Engineer for a fully remote role in Portugal. You will optimize C-SON use cases across LTE/5G, configure LB/MRO/CO, analyze KPI trends, and drive automation with multi-vendor networks.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in RAN optimization, 3+ years in SON/C-SON, and strong English/Spanish communication. The role emphasizes performance improvements, data-driven decisions, and customer-facing engagement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Radio Network Optimization, including at least 3 years with SON/C-SON platforms.
• Experience with centralized SON solutions such as Nokia EdenNet, Huawei iSON, Ericsson SON, Amdocs SON, AirHop SON, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of LTE/5G, RAN KPIs, mobility optimization, and network performance management.
• Spanish and English at B2+ or above, with strong customer-facing communication and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize C-SON use cases across LTE and 5G networks, monitoring performance through automated optimization strategies.
• Configure and tune Mobility Load Balancing, Mobility Robustness Optimization, Coverage and Capacity Optimization, Automatic Neighbor Relations, Energy Saving, and Interference Management features.
• Analyze SON recommendations, assess algorithm effectiveness, and validate network improvements.
• Perform KPI analysis and root cause investigations, collaborating with RAN Optimization, Planning, and Operations teams.
• Support automation initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and executive presentations, participating in customer workshops and performance reviews.
