Job summary

TravelEssence, a travel specialist with offices in multiple countries, seeks an experienced QA Tester to join our IT team in Portugal. You will work closely with the Product Owner and developers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that enhances our client’s travel experience.

You will shape testing standards, define robust test processes, and perform manual and regression testing across features. OutSystems knowledge is a plus; English fluency and strong collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in software testing.
• ISTQB Certification and/or other testing qualifications.
• Knowledge of or interest in test automation is a plus.
• Experience testing mobile apps across devices is preferred.
• OutSystems experience is advantageous but not required.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Owner (PO) to prepare and refine challenging requirements for each sprint.
• Define test plan/script for each story at the start of a sprint.
• Execute manual tests and work closely with the development team to optimize output.
• Focus on acceptance criteria and ensure UI/UX meets business value expectations.
• Perform regression testing as part of the software release process.
• Support analysis and reproduction of production issues with actionable details for developers.

We are seeking an experienced QA Tester to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Owner (PO), and development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality software that enhances our client’s travel experience.

Are you passionate about quality assurance and looking to make a significant impact on a growing team? We're seeking a skilled QA tester to join us, with the opportunity to shape our testing standards from the ground up. Our solution is built on the OutSystems Low-code platform, and while experience with OutSystems is a plus, we're primarily looking for someone with proven experience in software testing.

In this role, you'll have the unique opportunity to work closely with our development team and product owner, who currently handle initial testing. Your expertise will be invaluable in defining and implementing robust testing processes. Additionally, you'll collaborate with various business departments to ensure features are thoroughly tested before going live, helping us deliver the highest quality product to our users.

Key responsibilities:

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

One or more certifications in testing is required

ISTQB Certification

Knowledge of or interest in test automation is a plus.

Experience with OutSystems is a plus, but not required.

Fluent in English, both oral and written.

Strong teamplayer with excellent communication skills.
