Extia is an engineering consultancy prioritising people, well-being, and performance. We seek a Senior QA Engineer / QA Automation Engineer to design and run automated tests, work on AWS-based environments, and translate complex requirements into robust test cases.

You’ll collaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to shape QA strategies, implement testing solutions in Python, and leverage tools like PySpark, Redshift, and Power BI to drive quality across applications.

Qualificações

• 7 years total experience in QA or 3–4 years with international projects.
• Experience designing automated functional and regression tests.
• Hands-on in AWS environments.
• Strong Python knowledge at intermediate level.
• Proficient with PostgreSQL; MySQL/SQL Server a plus.
• Exposure to data/cloud tech: PySpark, AWS Athena, Lambda, Step Functions, Iceberg Tables, Redshift.
• Jira and Git in development and QA lifecycles; Power BI for reporting.
• Interest in AI tools like ChatGPT and GitHub Copilot.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain automated functional and regression tests.
• Define and execute QA strategies and testing approaches.
• Translate business requirements into effective test scenarios and automated cases.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure quality.
• Develop QA solutions using Python and related automation tech.
• Work with AWS-based environments and cloud services.
• Interact with data platforms: PostgreSQL, AWS Athena, Lambda, Redshift, PySpark.
• Investigate defects and drive root-cause analysis with teams.
• Utilize Jira and Git to manage defects, requirements, tests, and code.
• Create and maintain quality/test reporting with Power BI.
• Explore AI approaches to improve testing efficiency and quality.
• Bridge between technical, QA, and business perspectives.
