Devoteam Porto, Portugal is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Python) to join a hybrid delivery team. You will design, build, and maintain high-performance REST APIs and backend services, owning core architecture end-to-end in a fintech-like environment.

Expect to work with Python, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) while implementing scalable data ingestion and distributed processing. Hybrid/Full-time role in Porto with strong engineering culture.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience with end-to-end ownership.
• 3+ years of hands-on Python development.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems: asynchronous processing and queues.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and database modeling (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD.
• Nice to have: experience with web scrapers, data parsing, and regulated domains like fintech.

• Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using Python.
• Own architectural areas end-to-end, focusing on scalability and security.
• Develop data ingestion, web scraping, and parsing pipelines.
