Olisipo in Porto is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join a hybrid project. You will design and maintain scalable backend systems, implement REST APIs, and ensure data pipelines are secure and efficient.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in backend development, strong Python skills, hands-on with distributed systems and databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and fluent English. The role offers a hybrid setup with learning opportunities and benefits.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of experience in backend development.
• Solid experience in Python.
• Knowledge of distributed systems.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL.
• Experience in cloud environments.
• Experience in the FinTech sector (valued).
• Knowledge of KYC, AML, fraud prevention or compliance (valued).
• Experience in developing large-scale data pipelines (nice to have).
• Strong analytical skills, a sense of responsibility and a results-oriented approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English.
