Gleeds in Sines, Portugal, seeks a Professional Project Manager to lead tenant fit-out works on a data centre campus, with on-site presence five days a week (no rotation).

You will coordinate general contractors and specialists, develop and manage project programmes, identify risks, and report progress to Directors, ensuring compliance with contract terms and client requirements. Engineering degree and professional English are essential.

Qualificações

• Engineering degree or technical education in a construction-related field.
• Professional level of English.

• Relevant experience managing fit-out scope within data centre or mission-critical environments.
• Detailed knowledge of project management techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Managing all stages of tenant fit-out projects to practical completion and handover.
• Coordinating general contractors and specialist suppliers.
• Developing and maintaining project programmes with milestones.
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks during construction.
• Leading project meetings and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms and client requirements.
• Preparing regular progress reports and highlighting issues and actions.
• Supporting handover, including operation and maintenance documentation.
• Advising Directors on issues impacting PI insurance.

Professional Project Manager, responsible for the successful delivery of tenant fit-out works on a data centre campus.

Location: Sines, Portugal. This role requires being on-site during the work week. No rotation or fly-in/fly-out arrangement applies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
• Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that project management deliverables meet Customers' requirements and business procedures.
• Managing all stages of tenant fit-out projects to practical completion and handover.
• Coordinating general contractors and specialist suppliers to deliver mechanical, electrical, architectural, and specialist fit-out packages.
• Developing and maintaining project programmes, ensuring key milestones and tenant requirements are achieved.
• Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks throughout the construction phase.
• Leading project meetings and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with contract terms, building regulations, and client-specific requirements.
• Preparing regular progress reports, highlighting issues, risks, and recommended actions.
• Managing quality assurance processes and ensuring works meet the agreed specifications and standards.
• Coordinating site activities, logistics, and interfaces between different work packages.
• Supporting the handover process, including the preparation of operation and maintenance documentation.
• Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

• Knowledge of technical requirements applied to the construction sector.
• Detailed knowledge of project management techniques.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiating skills.
• Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Professional level of English.
• Right to work in Portugal.
• Available to work in Sines 5 days per week (no rotation applies).
