Neptune Software is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape the UX of the Neptune DX Platform, bridging complex enterprise capabilities with intuitive interfaces. You’ll work with product managers and engineers, crafting experiences and building working prototypes, not just specs.

This remote role in Portugal offers ownership of design from discovery to delivery, collaboration with a global team, and a strong emphasis on an end-to-end design culture and design-system evolution.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of product design or UI/UX experience in B2B/enterprise software.
• Strong portfolio across web/desktop products.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted workflows and tooling (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Figma AI).
• Solid UX, interaction design, and accessibility knowledge.
• Frontend dev skills in HTML, CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript, React to prototype.

• Strong communication for presenting design decisions.

As a Senior Product Designer at Neptune Software, you will play a central role in shaping the user experience of the Neptune DX Platform - the tool trusted by enterprises worldwide to build powerful business applications. You'll bridge the gap between complex technical capabilities and intuitive, elegant interfaces, working hand-in-hand with product managers and engineers to craft experiences that genuinely delight our customers. This is a hands-on role: you will be in the design files and in the code, building working prototypes yourself rather than handing off static specs.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design process - from discovery and user research through wireframing, prototyping, and final UI delivery
• Build interactive, code-based prototypes yourself - using React, TypeScript, javascript, and AI-assisted tooling - to validate ideas fast and hand engineers something real
• Translate complex enterprise workflows and user needs into clear, intuitive, and visually compelling product experiences
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure designs are feasible, consistent, and aligned with business goals
• Conduct user interviews, usability tests, and competitor analyses to inform design decisions
• Maintain and evolve Neptune's design system, ensuring consistency across the platform
• Present and communicate design concepts to stakeholders, incorporating feedback iteratively
• Advocate for the end user throughout the product development lifecycle

Your profile

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product design or UI/UX design, ideally in a B2B or enterprise software environment
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work across web or desktop applications
• Extensive hands-on experience with AI-assisted workflows - you have set up your own tooling (e.g. Claude, Cursor, Figma AI, MCP servers) and have clear ways of working that let you generate, prototype, and iterate at speed
• Solid understanding of UX principles, interaction design patterns, and accessibility standards
• Hands-on frontend development capabilities - working knowledge of HTML, CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript, and React, enough to build and ship your own interactive prototypes
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional product teams alongside engineers and PMs
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present and defend design decisions clearly

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing for enterprise platforms, low-code/no-code tools, or developer-facing products
• Familiarity with design systems: building, maintaining, or contributing to one
• Deeper front-end proficiency - React component architecture, TypeScript, and modern design-system tooling - to contribute directly to the codebase alongside engineers
• Experience conducting user research and translating insights into actionable design improvements
• Exposure to the SAP ecosystem or similar enterprise software landscapes is a plus
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring peers and contributing to a design culture
