The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of PowerBuilder experience, demonstrated production support skills, and fluency in English at C1 level.

• Strong SQL and relational DB experience, including stored procedures and tuning
• Experience in financial markets projects

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain PowerBuilder applications
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and DB objects
• Debug, troubleshoot, and performance tune applications
• Support production deployments and resolve issues within SLA timelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders, PMs, QA and other teams
• Participate in code reviews and ensure development standards
• Prepare technical documentation and deployment guides
• Provide estimates for development and enhancement efforts
• Provide guidance to less experienced developers when required

We are seeking an experienced PowerBuilder Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise applications built on the PowerBuilder platform, within a financial markets environment. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in PowerBuilder, relational databases and SQL, application support, and troubleshooting. Experience in financial markets is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using PowerBuilder
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects
• Perform application debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Support production deployments and resolve application issues within SLA timelines
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, QA teams, and other technical teams
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
• Prepare technical documentation, design documents, and deployment guides
• Provide estimates for development and enhancement efforts
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced developers when required

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a PowerBuilder Developer (PowerScript, DataWindow, DataStores)
• Strong experience with relational databases and SQL, including stored procedures and query tuning
• Proven experience in financial markets projects
• Understanding of financial instruments and the trade lifecycle
• Experience with production support and troubleshooting in critical environments
• Experience with Git for version control
• Knowledge of n-tier architectures
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
• English proficiency at C1 level (written and spoken)

Nice to Have

• Experience with recent PowerBuilder versions (2019/2022)
• Experience with application upgrades, migrations, or modernization projects
• Knowledge of web services and integration (REST/SOAP, JSON/XML)
• Agile/Scrum and CI/CD practices
