Arbe-it is seeking an experienced Senior PowerBuilder Developer to join our Lisbon-based project in the financial markets sector. The role focuses on developing, enhancing and maintaining critical enterprise applications on the PowerBuilder platform to ensure stability and performance.

You will work in a hybrid model in Lisbon, Portugal, with 2 days on-site per week, collaborating with multiple technical teams and stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional experience as a PowerBuilder Developer.
• Strong knowledge of PowerScript, DataWindow and DataStores.
• Solid experience with relational databases, SQL, stored procedures and query optimization.
• Proven experience on financial markets projects.
• Understanding of financial instruments and the trade lifecycle.
• Experience with production support and troubleshooting in critical environments.
• Knowledge of Git and version control practices.
• Understanding of n-tier architectures.
• Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills.
• English proficiency at C1 level.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain enterprise applications using PowerBuilder.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures and database objects.
• Perform application debugging, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Support production deployments and resolve application issues within SLA timelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers and QA teams.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure development standards.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, design specs and deployment guides.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in PowerBuilder, SQL and relational databases, as well as proven experience in financial markets environments.

What you’ll be doing:

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain enterprise applications using PowerBuilder.
