Decskill, a Lisbon-based IT consultancy with 600+ professionals, is seeking a Senior Power BI specialist to design and deliver reports that drive business value. You will own BI projects end-to-end and collaborate with stakeholders across functions.

You will optimize data models, implement robust security, and contribute to data governance while leveraging Azure, dbt, and modern data stacks. Fluent English and strong communication are essential.

Qualificações

• 3–6+ years of experience in BI or data analytics.
• Strong hands-on Power BI (Desktop & Service).
• Advanced knowledge of DAX and data modeling.
• Experience with Power Query (M) for data transformation.
• Strong SQL skills and data warehouse experience.
• Proven end-to-end BI delivery capability.
• Knowledge of data governance and security (RLS).
• Experience with Git-based workflows is a plus.
• Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of reporting projects from requirements gathering to delivery.
• Build and optimize data models (star schema, relationships, measures).
• Develop advanced calculations using DAX.
• Perform data transformation and preparation using Power Query (M).
• Ensure performance optimization and scalability of reports and datasets.
• Define and implement data visualization best practices (UX/UI, storytelling).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across reports.
• Troubleshoot dashboards, data models, and refresh processes.
• Participate in documentation, knowledge sharing, and BI standards improvement.

We are looking for a Senior Power BI

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business needs;
• Take ownership of reporting projects from requirements gathering to delivery;
• Build and optimize data models (star schema, relationships, measures);
• Develop advanced calculations using DAX;
• Perform data transformation and preparation using Power Query (M);
• Ensure performance optimization and scalability of reports and datasets;
• Define and implement data visualization best practices (UX/UI, storytelling);
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across reports;
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to dashboards, data models, and refresh processes;
• Participate in documentation, knowledge sharing, and improvement of BI standards.

Requirements:

• 3–6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics roles;
• Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service);
• Advanced knowledge of DAX and data modeling concepts (star schema, relationships, measures);
• Experience with Power Query (M) for data transformation;
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with data warehouses;
• Proven ability to deliver end‑to‑end BI solutions independently;
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization in Power BI;
• Familiarity with data governance and security (e.g., Row‑Level Security);
• Experience with Git‑based workflows (nice to have but valued);
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with non‑technical stakeholders;
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Azure (Fabric);
• Experience integrating Power BI with modern data stacks (e.g., dbt, redshift, BigQuery);
• Experience with paginated reports (Power BI Report Builder);
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes for BI deployments;
• Exposure to data storytelling and business strategy alignment.
