Job summary

CTS Group is seeking a Planner / Scheduler in Lisbon, Portugal to develop, maintain, and control schedules for MV/HV substations under EPC contracts. You will work with Project Managers, Design Engineering, Procurement, Site Management, and the Bid team to ensure milestones are met and to continuously improve planning standards.

You will develop integrated programmes, monitor progress, and produce schedule reports and narratives for client reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical), Construction Management, or related field.
• Planning or project controls certification (AACE PSP or PMI-SP) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed, resource-loaded baseline schedules for EPC substation projects.
• Define WBS, activity coding, and schedule logic with project teams.
• Integrate engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities including long-lead equipment.
• Incorporate client constraints, outages, permits, seasonal requirements into programmes.
• Prepare tender-stage programmes and duration estimates for the Bid team.
• Update project schedules at regular intervals with progress from site, engineering, and procurement.
• Analyse critical paths, float consumption, and schedule performance.
• Identify delays and risks; support recovery plans.
• Maintain 3–6 week look-ahead programmes for site teams.
• Track milestones, interfaces, and dependencies across projects.
• Produce weekly/monthly schedule reports and dashboards.
