Job summary

Cross Border Talents in Porto is seeking an experienced O2C leader to own the end-to-end order-to-cash cycle in a global medical technology environment. You will lead billing, collections, cash application and dispute resolution while collaborating with Sales, Logistics, Treasury and Tax teams.

The role requires 5–7 years in O2C/Finance Operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, fluent German and advanced English, and a willingness to relocate to Porto.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 5–7 years in O2C, AR or Finance Operations with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Strong knowledge of O2C processes, financial controls and compliance frameworks.
• Hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or Workday).
• Experience with global, multi-currency environments.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Fluent German (spoken and written) and advanced English (C1).
• Willingness to relocate to Porto, Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage end-to-end O2C operations including order management, billing and collections.
• Prepare AR ageing and drive collection strategies to reduce DSO.
• Resolve disputes and negotiate payment terms with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with audits, SOX, IFRS and tax requirements.
• Drive process automation, standardisation and efficiency improvements.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close and reporting to senior management.
• Train and mentor junior O2C specialists.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics, Treasury and Tax teams.

• Support month-end and quarter-end close, reconciliations and reporting to senior management
