ITDS Portugal is seeking a Senior Middleware Operations Engineer in Lisbon with a hybrid work model. You will support WebSphere and Liberty environments, drive automation, and enable modernization in a financial setting.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in middleware or application support, strong incident management skills, and fluency in English. This role emphasizes stability, performance, and continuous improvement within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in middleware or application support with WebSphere.
• Strong knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, Liberty, and cloud support.
• Experience with incident management, troubleshooting and platform optimization.
• Proficiency with automation tools such as Ansible, XLD, XLR, shell scripting and Python.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

• Manage incident handling, runtime troubleshooting, and system recovery to maintain stability.
• Support and execute standard changes, patching, and lifecycle activities for WebSphere environments.
• Monitor performance metrics, analyze server resources, and optimize platform operations.
• Automate operational tasks using Ansible, XLD, XLR, shell scripting, and Python.
• Contribute to migration of WebSphere estates toward Liberty in a financial context.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance runtime stability and modernization.
• Document procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives for middleware environments.
