Costaterra Golf & Ocean Club, part of Discovery Land Company (DLC), is seeking an experienced MEP engineer to represent the developer on a luxury Comporta project in Portugal. You will review designs, coordinate interfaces and support procurement, testing and handover to ensure top-tier hospitality standards.

Qualificações

• Specialist knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and wet utility infrastructure.
• Understanding of medium/low/extra low voltage systems (telecoms, CCTV, access control, AV).
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Knowledge of design coordination, construction supervision, commissioning and project delivery processes.

Responsabilidades

• Act as the Developer's representative for MEP matters.
• Review designs for quality, compliance, constructability, maintainability and operational suitability.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces with architecture, structures, civil works, interiors, landscape and infrastructure.
• Support procurement activities including tender reviews, technical evaluations and contractor selection.
• Monitor construction progress, quality and contractor performance.
• Review and approve MEP submittals, shop drawings, material submissions and method statements.
• Support cost control, value engineering, variation assessments and change management.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing and handover activities.
• Coordinate with operators, facilities management and stakeholders to ensure operational readiness.
• Prepare progress, risk, technical issue and key decision reports.

What you will do?

• Act as the Developer's representative for all MEP matters.
• Review designs for quality, compliance, constructability, maintainability, and operational suitability.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces with architecture, structures, civil works, interiors, landscape, and infrastructure.
• Support procurement activities, including tender reviews, technical evaluations, and contractor selection.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, and contractor performance.
• Review and approve MEP submittals, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements.

What are we looking for?

• Degree in Mechanical or related Engineering discipline.
• 8–12 years of relevant experience in design and delivery of complex building projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and wet utility infrastructure systems.
• Understanding of medium, low and extra low voltage (telecommunications, CCTV, access control, AV, etc).
• Experience managing consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers.
• Knowledge of design coordination, construction supervision, commissioning, and project delivery processes.
• Experience in hospitality, luxury residential, mixed‑use, healthcare, or commercial developments is desirable.
• Experience working in a developer, PMC, consultancy, or contractor environment is advantageous.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
