Job summary

Ramboll is recruiting an Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design delivery for data centre projects. You will coordinate with electrical teams and lead client-facing activities, ensuring high-quality, sustainable, and reliable systems.

You will guide and check the work of engineers, perform critical design production when required, and contribute to the development of building physics, CFD, and sustainable design principles within the Data Centre Facilities team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Engineer with proven track record in discipline
• Experience with mission critical systems in datacentre or similar industries
• Engineering degree with accreditation (CIBSE/IET/IMechE) or HNC with higher education pursuit
• Working towards IEng or CEng status
• Excellent communication; ability to simplify complex concepts
• Interest in digital/parametric design tools

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design delivery for datacentre projects
• Coordinate with electrical counterpart and client on projects
• Guide and review technical work of mechanical engineers
• Perform detailed designs and supervise others as needed
• Inspire client confidence and maintain strong relationships
• Manage project delivery timelines and resource allocation
