People Group seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design through concept, detail, tender and handover for data centre projects in Porto. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, coordinate BIM processes and ensure technical excellence across complex facilities.

The role requires 6+ years in building services and a strong command of mechanical systems, with a focus on data centres and mission-critical environments.

Qualificações

• 6+ years' experience in mechanical building services design.
• Experience on data centres, high-tech or large-scale projects.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD; BIM coordination.
• Professional registration would be advantageous but not essential.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the mechanical services design of major data centre projects from concept through to completion and handover.
• Develop mechanical building services strategies and detailed designs.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, CSA, architectural, structural and other disciplines.
• Review BIM/Revit models and resolve multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Prepare and review tender documentation and technical packages.
• Provide mentoring and support to junior engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with CIBSE, ASHRAE, EN and local Portuguese requirements.
• Manage project deliverables across multiple workstreams.
