Job summary

Ramboll seeks an Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the design delivery for data centre facilities. You will guide a team of mechanical engineers, coordinating with electrical counterparts to ensure high-quality, timely outputs across cooling, ventilation, and control systems.

Qualifications

• Qualified Engineer with demonstrable track record in their discipline.
• Experience with mission critical systems in data centre or similar industries.
• Engineering degree with accreditation (CIBSE/IET/IMechE) or HNC with intent to pursue higher education.
• Aspire to IEng or CEng status.
• Excellent communication; ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Interest in or experience with digital and parametric design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ramboll on Datacentre projects, guiding your discipline and managing complementary engineers.
• Drive project delivery with initiative and minimal supervision on technical aspects.
• Use design tools to develop solutions (CAD, Bluebeam, calculations; collaborate with BIM technicians).
• Complete detailed designs and supervise others in this function.
• Inspire confidence internally and externally to strengthen client relationships.
• Commit to and manage project delivery timelines.
• As mechanical lead, coordinate tasks to meet deadlines and allocate resources.
