Job summary

Flix is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to own and evolve causal measurement practices across global marketing. You will design experiments, apply econometric techniques, and shape how we allocate the marketing budget at scale.

You’ll collaborate with Marketing, Revenue Management, Reporting, and Engineering to deliver rigorous incrementality evidence and actionable recommendations for senior leadership. Strong background in causal inference, time series, and Bayesian methods is essential, with

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science or quantitative research with causal experiments design.
• Proficient in Python and SQL; experience with Power BI.
• Experience with causal inference methods: difference-in-differences, synthetic control, Bayesian structural time series, etc.
• Experience with BigQuery or Snowflake and Git version control.
• Ability to present statistical findings to non-technical audiences and inform strategic decisions.
• Experience in marketing measurement or media mix modelling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and continuously improve geo-based, time-based, and synthetic control experiment frameworks across global markets and channels.
• Apply econometric and causal inference techniques to measure the incremental effect of marketing on bookings and revenue.
• Build and manage a test-and-learn programme across paid channels and prioritise experiments by business value.
• Develop and validate attribution models (CLV-MTA and MMM) for reliable benchmarks.
• Translate complex causal findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders including marketing, finance, and senior management.
• Review designs, document thoroughly, and shape internal standards for measuring marketing effectiveness.
