Aubay Portugal is seeking an experienced database administrator to design, implement and operate highly available MariaDB clusters for real-time systems. You will optimize SQL, implement backup/recovery, and support data architecture with development teams.

The role is hybrid and comes with training, comprehensive health coverage, dental care, language learning, and team events. You’ll join a close-knit environment that values integrity, collaboration and delivering real impact.

Qualificações

• Minimum of 5 years of MariaDB administration in production environments.
• Strong expertise in SQL, query optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with at least one additional relational database system, ideally PostgreSQL.

What will you do?

• Design, build, and operate highly available MariaDB clusters, ensuring stability, scalability, and security of the database platform.
• Develop and maintain robust backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability strategies for critical real-time systems.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, database performance, and system scalability.
• Automate database and infrastructure operations using tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Support development teams with database architecture, data modeling, and integration topics.
• Implement and improve database security, compliance, and encryption standards.

What are we looking for?
