Job summary

Vodafone is seeking a Senior Manager for Responsible AI Governance to lead governance frameworks across Group and Markets. You will shepherd policy, standards, and risk controls, ensuring AI systems are lawful, safe and ethical.

The role requires experience advising executives, regulators and auditors, plus deep knowledge of AI lifecycles and regulatory frameworks. A global, federated organisation will benefit from your strategic leadership and cross-functional impact.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in Responsible AI governance or related technology risk discipline.
• Experience designing and embedding enterprise governance frameworks, policies, technical standards and control environments.
• Experience advising executive leaders and governance bodies and engaging regulators, auditors, industry bodies or standards organisations.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycles, including generative AI, foundation models, data dependencies and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Vodafone’s Responsible AI framework, policy, standards, operating model and governance forums across Group and Markets.
• Oversee Responsible AI assessment and assurance methodology, integrating with privacy, security, architecture and risk management.
• Define lifecycle controls for testing, monitoring, validation and reassessment; oversee AI inventory, risk reporting and incident management.
• Set and oversee governance for third-party and customer-facing AI, including due diligence and contractual obligations.
• Lead regulatory engagement, capability building and internal governance approvals within delegated authority.
