Job summary

Vodafone Group Plc is seeking a senior leader to drive Responsible AI governance across the group and local markets. You will embed governance throughout the AI lifecycle, ensuring compliance with EU AI Act and privacy, security, and ethics standards.

As central authority for Responsible AI, you will guide risk assessment, third-party governance, and executive reporting, while enabling responsible innovation at scale in a federated international organization. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in Responsible AI governance.
• Experience designing and embedding enterprise governance frameworks and control environments.
• Experience advising executive leaders and governance bodies and engaging regulators or standards bodies.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML lifecycles and the EU AI Act.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory and technical issues into practical controls and decisions.
• Experience leading across a federated international organisation and engaging regulators.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve Vodafone's Responsible AI framework, policy, standards, operating model, governance forums across Group and Markets.
• Define lifecycle controls for testing, monitoring, validation and reassessment; oversee AI inventory, risk reporting and incident management.
• Set third‑party and customer-facing AI governance, including due diligence and contractual obligations.
• Lead market enablement, executive engagement, and regulatory interaction; enable compliant innovation at scale.
