Job summary

Hexa is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer in Portugal to contribute to the development of enterprise applications in the banking sector. You will work in an Agile environment supporting regulatory compliance and customer information management, focusing on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.

You will develop across front-end and back-end technologies, implement automated tests, review code, and help reduce technical debt while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• At least 9 years of professional experience in Full Stack Development, preferably in Agile environments.
• Strong experience delivering and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and contribute to multiple initiatives.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting capabilities, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
• Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Commitment to software quality, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Deliver scalable, maintainable, and testable software solutions aligned with technical requirements and development standards.
• Implement automated tests and contribute to code reviews to ensure software quality and application stability.
• Investigate technical incidents, resolve defects, and optimize application performance.
• Manage corrective and evolutionary maintenance activities while adapting to changing delivery priorities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, sharing technical knowledge and promoting consistent engineering practices.
• Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve development processes across concurrent initiatives.
