Reach IT is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join our nearshore software delivery team in Lisbon. You will design and build RESTful services with Java/Spring Boot, contribute to microservices, and collaborate with frontend teams in Angular.

You’ll work with AWS (ECS, Lambda, Step Functions) and messaging (Kafka, SNS/SQS), ensure secure API design, and participate in CI/CD with Docker and Kubernetes across complex financial systems.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot and building REST APIs and microservices.
• Experience with Angular for fullstack development and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on AWS experience (ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, CloudWatch).
• Knowledge of Kafka and SNS/SQS integration and asynchronous messaging.
• Strong focus on secure API development and data validation.
• Proficiency with JUnit/Mockito and Spring Test for unit/integration tests.
• Experience with Terraform and Python in AWS-oriented backend engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop Java/Spring Boot services and REST APIs for financial apps.
• Implement business rules, data validation, and backend logic across services.
• Develop Angular frontends integrated with Java backends for fullstack tasks.
• Build and deploy cloud components using ECS, Lambda, and Step Functions.
• Integrate with RDS/Oracle databases and messaging layers using REST APIs.
• Create automated tests and contribute to CI/CD with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability of Java services and integrations.
