Capgemini Engineering in Lisbon seeks a Java Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions. You will work with Java 17, Spring Boot, and REST APIs within an Agile, international team.

Responsibilities include building microservices, integrating databases, enabling event-driven architectures with Kafka/RabbitMQ, and supporting cloud deployments on AWS/Azure/GCP. Strong collaboration and DevOps practices are required.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of professional experience developing Java-based web applications.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java 17, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
• Design and implement scalable microservices architectures following best practices.
• Build and optimize integrations with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Develop event-driven solutions using Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Contribute to cloud-native applications deployed on AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Ensure software quality, security, scalability, and performance across solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with cross-functional and international teams.
