MoOngy in Portugal is seeking a Senior Java Developer with Apache Spark to design and build data processing applications using Java/J2EE and Spark. You will contribute to batch processing and data workflows, delivering robust, scalable solutions and performance optimizations.

The role requires hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling, including Maven, GitLab, ArgoCD, and Liquibase. It offers a hybrid work model with 2/3 days in the office and is open to candidates legally

Qualificações

• 8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development (Java/J2EE 9fe)
• At least 1 year of Apache Spark development
• Experience with Spring/Spring MVC and Spring Boot
• Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle ExaCC, SQL Server)
• Strong Docker & Kubernetes knowledge and cloud-native apps
• Experience with CI/CD tooling: Maven, GitLab, ArgoCD, Liquibase

The Role:

Senior Java Developer + Spark

Work Model:

hybrid - 2/3 days a week in the office

Eligibility:

Currently living in Portugal and be legally authorized to work there

• +8 years of experience in Java/J2EE development, including Java/J2EE 9.
• At least 1 year of experience in Apache Spark development, with hands-on experience in Spark.
• Experience with Spring / Spring MVC and Spring Boot.
• Experience with SQL, including Transactional SQL / Spark SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle ExaCC, and SQL Server.
• Strong experience with Docker & Kubernetes and Cloud-native applications.
• Experience with CI/CD tooling, including Maven, GitLab, ArgoCD, and Liquibase.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Argo Workflow.
• Experience with GitHub Copilot Agents.
• French B2

Responsibilities:

• Work as a Java Developer, contributing to the conception and development of Data Processing applications executed in Batch mode using Spark.
• Develop solutions using Java/J2EE and Apache Spark.
• Design solutions using proven patterns, with awareness of anti-patterns and performance tuning.
• Work with SQL, relational databases, Docker/Kubernetes, object storage such as S3, and CI/CD tooling
