Capgemini Engineering in Lisbon is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and deliver scalable, secure software solutions for complex healthcare environments. You will contribute to architectural decisions and help evolve our backend platforms.

You will work with Java and Spring Boot, REST APIs, and modern tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, collaborating with architects and engineers to drive CI/CD, observability, and robust integrations across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Fluent Portuguese and professional English.
• Experience with REST APIs, messaging/event-driven architectures, CI/CD, and cloud-native patterns.

Responsabilités

• Design and evolve scalable, maintainable application architectures.
• Participate in technical decision-making and define solution designs.
• Develop robust backend services and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with architects and senior technical leaders to apply architecture best practices.
• Support the adoption of modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and observability.
• Contribute to integration initiatives ensuring interoperability, security, and performance.
• Evaluate technologies and propose improvements to address challenges.
• Take ownership of technical deliverables and develop architectural thinking.
