WE ARE META is hiring a Staff Java Backend Developer to join a fully remote team based in Portugal. You’ll own backend services, design scalable architectures, and mentor engineers across projects.

You should have 10+ years in Java backend, Spring Boot, and experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, GraphQL Federation, Terraform. Fluency in English (B2) is required, and you’ll collaborate with a distributed, growth-oriented team.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of experience in Java backend development.
• Proven track record leading complex projects and collaborating on system design.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and driving best practices.
• Strong skills in Java (latest versions preferred), Spring Boot.
• Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, GraphQL Federation, Terraform.
• Proficient with GitHub and modern CI/CD workflows.
• Fluency in English (B2).
