HumanIT Digital Consulting in Portugal is seeking a Senior Java Developer to join a high-performing engineering team building scalable cloud-native platforms. You will work on backend systems, APIs, and distributed services, with emphasis on code quality, performance, and production readiness.

The role involves mentoring peers, contributing to architecture decisions, and driving best practices across the SDLC in an agile environment.

Qualificações

• 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong Java 17 and Java 21 expertise.
• Backend design with microservices and SOA.
• Experience delivering REST APIs and GraphQL services.
• Cloud/Azure, DevOps, CI/CD tooling proficiency.
• Hands-on with Docker/Kubernetes and observability tools.
• Experience with testing (TDD) and Agile methodologies.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop scalable APIs and backend services.
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle from architecture to production support.
• Mentor team members and influence engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, QA, and Architect teams.
• Drive performance, reliability, and scalable design decisions.
