Intellias in Portugal seeks a senior backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable Spring Boot microservices in a distributed cloud environment. You will build event-driven data pipelines, work with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB, and deliver end-to-end backend solutions for a global user base.

The role requires 6+ years of backend experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, AWS, and messaging systems like Kafka.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of backend development in production using Java 21 and Spring Boot 3.x.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Spring Boot-based microservices in a distributed architecture.
• Build and operate event-driven data processing pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and enrichment of streaming data.
• Work with complex datasets focusing on data analysis, transformation, validation, and optimization.
• Develop and maintain advanced SQL queries and data workflows for business/platform needs.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business teams to solve data challenges.
• Contribute to Snowflake-based analytics initiatives when applicable.
• Develop robust APIs for internal/external consumers.
• Work with AWS services to design reliable, scalable backend systems.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL and DynamoDB schemas for performance and integrity.
• Implement automated testing strategies (unit/integration) and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
