EnBW IT-Solutions in Lisbon is seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to drive people strategy, align leadership, and scale the Lisbon IT Hub.

You will coach leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, talent management and compliance, while partnering with HR Operations and colleagues in Germany to deliver high-quality HR services.

Fluency in English and Portuguese is required; German is a plus, and the role offers a hybrid working model with international exposure.

• Several years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a comparable senior HR role, ideally within IT or international growth environments.
• Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and balancing strategic business needs with HR governance and compliance.

Your tasks

• Act as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner to leadership, aligning people strategy with business objectives and supporting the growth and scaling of the Lisbon IT Hub.
• Coach and support leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, talent management, employee relations and leadership effectiveness while ensuring compliance with HR policies and labour regulations.
• Drive the local HR strategy in alignment with EnBW standards and contribute to the continued professionalisation of HR processes, structures and practices.
• Act as the key interface between management and employees across the employee lifecycle, supporting talent, performance, development and reward topics.
• Leverage people analytics and business insights to identify trends, solve organisational challenges and enable evidence-based decision‑making.
• Lead and contribute to cross‑functional HR initiatives, change programmes and transformation activities in a dynamic international environment.
• Collaborate closely with HR Operations and the wider HR organisation in Germany, while strengthening the Lisbon‑based HR team and ensuring high‑quality HR service delivery.

Your profile

Your Expertise

• Several years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a comparable senior HR role, ideally within IT, technology or other international growth environments.
• Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and balancing strategic business needs with HR governance, compliance and best practices.
• Strong HR foundation with expertise in employee relations, organisational development, talent management and change management.
• Experience supporting organisations through growth, transformation and increasing levels of business and HR maturity.
• Solid understanding of key HR Operations processes, including Employee Lifecycle Management, Payroll Coordination, HR Reporting & People Analytics, and Labour Law & HR Compliance.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate people topics into business outcomes.
• Demonstrate genuine interest in business operations and proactively build understanding of the functions and leaders supported.
• Confidence in providing independent judgment and constructively challenging leaders to achieve sustainable people and business outcomes.
• Experience working successfully with multiple stakeholders in complex international matrix organisations and collaborating across HR functions, business teams and geographic locations.

About The Department

You will join our growing IT Hub in Lisbon, which is currently in a ramp‑up and scaling phase. The hub takes over IT services and capabilities from existing delivery organisations and external partners, while also building new services directly on site. The hub is being built and scaled with a strong focus on collaboration, sustainable growth and high‑performing teams. As Senior HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in shaping the organisational set‑up, supporting leaders and ensuring a consistent, people‑centric approach throughout the hub’s development.
