Vida Plena, an innovative hospitality group founded in Lisbon, invites a Senior Host to welcome guests by name, assign tables in advance, and own the door and every special request, shaping the first and last impression of our guests.

You will lead the reservations and seating flow, make real-time decisions to balance guest needs with service pace, greet on arrival, brief the floor and kitchen, maintain accurate notes, and coach the host team toward consistent, warm service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in hospitality in a host or guest relations role.
• Strong skills in managing reservations, seating flow, and guest communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a warm and approachable demeanor.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Comfortable with reservation software and quick to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the reservation book and seating plan. Read the book the day before and again before doors open, assign tables with the floor lead.
• Make real-time decisions on seating, pacing, table allocation, and booking adjustments.
• Own the door: greet guests by name, manage arrival, and oversee seating.
• Own the special requests from booking to table; brief the floor and kitchen, verify completion.
• Own the goodbye: see guests out, thank them by name, and follow up on issues.
• Take ownership of guest concerns and resolve issues with discretion.
• Keep accurate reservation records and meaningful guest notes for personalization.
• Lead by example on shift, set standards for the host team, provide direction.
• Report no-shows and booking patterns with practical fixes.
