Job summary

TEKEVER in Portugal's Porto area is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced electronic systems for airborne SAR payloads. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Product, RF, FPGA, Software, Mechanical and Manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Electronic/Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, 7+ years of hardware experience, and strong skills in analogue, digital and mixed-signal design, PCB/schematic tools and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering.
• 7+ years of hardware development experience.
• Experience in digital and analogue circuit design.
• Proven track record delivering products from concept to production.
• Strong analogue, digital and mixed-signal design knowledge.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces: Ethernet, DDR, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, PCIe.
• Lab instrumentation: oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, CAN, SPI, I2C and related BUS systems.
• Languages: Portuguese and English at C2 level.
• Team-oriented, good communication skills and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of electronic hardware for SAR payloads, ground systems and supporting equipment.
• Define hardware architectures and allocate requirements across subsystems.
• Perform trade-off analyses and component selection.
• Review hardware designs for compliance with requirements and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
