ISS A/S in Porto is seeking an experienced Senior ML Engineer to stabilise and evolve our AI platform, delivering production-grade GenAI solutions. You will work across backend, AI application development and platform engineering, ensuring security, reliability and scalability in a hybrid environment.

The role focuses on mature platform governance, model access, API gateways and observability, with increasing input on LLM, RAG and agent-based systems.

Qualificações

• Strong Python skills and experience building production APIs and backend services.
• Hands-on experience with production GenAI, LLM, RAG or agent-based solutions.
• Experience implementing platform controls: auth, rate limiting, quotas and cost monitoring.
• Cloud, containerisation (Kubernetes) and observability in production.
• CI/CD, deployment automation and reliable software release practices.
• Relational databases and vector search technologies.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Stabilise and evolve the AI platform for production LLM, RAG and agents.
• Implement guardrails, access controls and policy enforcement across models and tools.
• Improve authentication, rate limiting, token usage, quotas and cost monitoring.
• Support AI platform services: LLM gateways, model routing, vector search.
• Enhance CI/CD, deployment automation and observability for AI workloads.
• Collaborate with DevOps to deploy AI services on cloud/Kubernetes.
• Design and build GenAI solutions including RAG pipelines and APIs.
• Diagnose production issues and set security/reliability standards.
