Jobgether in Portugal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Token Factory) to join an AI-focused R&D team building large-scale platforms for LLM training and demanding AI workloads. You will design, develop, and optimize distributed systems, web services, and ML infrastructure, contributing to scalability, performance, and reliability.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional software development experience delivering production-quality systems.
• Strong software engineering with Python and/or Go.
• Experience building and operating web services and backend systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed, scalable, and high-load environments.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in dynamic, fast-paced or startup-like environments is valued.
• Knowledge of language models, NLP, or related AI tech is a plus.
• Track record of delivering products from concept to production.
• Open-source projects or other technical work demonstrating strong engineering capabilities are welcome.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and improve platforms supporting large-scale LLM training and AI workloads.
• Build robust distributed systems to handle demanding compute at scale.
• Maintain and optimize ML infrastructure for high performance and reliability.
• Improve job scheduling strategies to maximize infrastructure utilization.
• Develop and maintain reliable web services and backend components.
• Apply strong software engineering practices across the lifecycle including CI/CD and testing.
• Identify performance and reliability challenges and implement robust solutions.
• Collaborate with researchers to translate AI infrastructure needs into production systems.
• Take ownership of technical decisions with rigor across design, development, and ops.
